Clone a website's design into HTML

Open the page, click the IMG2HTML Chrome extension and get the section rebuilt as HTML + Tailwind you can edit. It copies the design, not the backend or the content rights.

How it works

  1. Install the IMG2HTML Chrome extension and sign in.
  2. Open the page whose layout you want to reuse and capture the section (a hero, a pricing table, a footer).
  3. The capture goes to IMG2HTML and comes back as one HTML file with Tailwind CSS in about 30 seconds.
  4. Adjust it in the editor by prompt or by hand, replace the texts and images with your own, and export to HTML, React, Vue or Angular.

No extension? Take a screenshot and upload it on the screenshot to code page instead.

What is copied and what is not

  • Copied: the visible layout, spacing, colors, typography and the text in the capture.
  • Not copied: the site's source code, scripts, backend, forms that submit somewhere, or its images (they come back as placeholders).

Use it on designs you may reuse

Rebuilding a layout as a starting point is common practice, but texts, images, logos and distinctive designs belong to their owners. Use it on your own sites, on designs you have permission to reproduce, or as a reference you then change into your own.

Price

IMG2HTML plans start at $1.99 a month for 3 conversions (the Trial plan). Starter ($9.99, 40 credits), Plus ($29.99, 200) and Advanced ($59.99, 500) start with a 3-day free trial that includes 5 credits. One credit converts one image. See pricing.

Questions

Can it clone an entire website?

It works best one screen or section at a time. Capture the sections separately and combine the HTML.

Does the cloned page work like the original?

It is static markup. Menus, forms and anything interactive need to be wired up by you.
